Results (H): Netball vs The Abbey, U12B, U12C

Thursday 16th October 2014

On Tuesday 14 October, the U12 B and C teams played against The Abbey School. Please find below for a full round-up of all the results.

U12B Team

The U12’s had a difficult start to the match, after some exceptional shooting from The Abbey attack.  However, as the game progressed, some excellent defence helped to return the ball to Queen Anne’s territory.  Tilly was able to make the most of these opportunities, with her accurate shooting, winning the second half 6-4.  Unfortunately, the first half deficit was too great, but all girls should be commended for their perseverance and determination, right to the final whistle.

Final Score: 11-6

  • Player of the Match: I Sloane
  • Commended: T Browett and L Gregory

U12C Team

The U12’s certainly did the school proud this evening, playing in their first match for Queen Anne’s!  Right from the first whistle, the girls fought for every ball and pushed The Abbey for each goal.  Sadly, the opposition were able to capitalise on a few of our mistakes and pulled ahead.  However, the girls continued to fight back, to create a much more closely matched game than the score suggests.

Final Score: 9-2

Player of the Match: G Manley

Commended: I Carter Shaw and N McKenna
