QA Alumni Member Launches Cookery Website

Thursday 2nd July 2015

Former Queen Anne’s drama student and now professional actress, Nicola Millbank, has added another feather in her cap as she is about to become a published author!

Nicky, who left Queen Anne’s in 2006, has been a professional actress ever since graduating from drama school in 2009. Her recent television credits include “Silent Witness”, “Mr Selfridge” and “Mount Pleasant” and now she is venturing into new territory by launching her own cookery website entitled ‘Milly Cookbook’.

The Milly Cookbook website showcases a number of Milly’s recipes, including “Guilt-free Gluttony” and some healthy takes on some of her favourite recipes and when Nicky first launched her cook book project, none other than Raymond Blanc and Nigel Slater expressed an interest!

Talking about her decision to launch the Milly Cookbook website, Nicky said,

“Starting up from pure necessity fending for myself alone in the Big Smoke at 18 to emerging into a full blown devotion, I have experimented over the years and finally found my style of cooking. I love to eat almost everything, and of course, indulge in pure gluttony from time to time but because of my job I have to look after myself and be careful not to over-indulge too often; news that would sting the ears of any fellow foodies I’m sure. So, I started to think of ways that would enable me to eat my favourite dishes, comfort food and all but forgoing the inevitable sofa sloth, food induced coma phase. I was after delicious, easy and attainable food with zero guilt attached and after lots of experimenting and full up friends and family, along came Milly Cookbook.”
