Mother and Daughter Evening

Thursday 25th February 2016

L4-U4 pupils and their parents are invited to attend a ‘Mother and Daughter’ celebration charity evening, taking place on Friday 4 March from 7.00pm until 9.00pm in the School Hall.

The evening will be an opportunity for girls and their parents to spend some quality time together before Mothering Sunday on Sunday 6 March and to raise money for a worthwhile cause. The chosen charity for the evening will be Berkshire Women’s Aid, a charity which works against abuse and violence providing advice, counselling and places of safety in Reading, Wokingham and Bracknell.

Each table will be made up of 10 people, of whom one parent will be the hostess for the evening. If parents are unable to attend, your daughter is still most welcome to join a table where the hostess will look after her for the evening. The role of the hostess is an important feature of the evening and further details will follow once all the hostesses have been identified.

The cost of attending the evening will be £5 per person, which will be donated to Berkshire Women’s Aid. Payment can be made by cheque or in cash. Payments will need to sent to the School Office in a clearly labelled envelope, which includes the following details:

FAO of Mrs Deborah Storey
Mother and Daughter Evening
Parent Name
Payment Details

The evening’s entertainment will also include a raffle and if parents would like to offer any donations of raffle prizes, please can these be brought to Cafe 6 between 7.30am and 9.00am or items can be dropped off at Holmes House. If you know of or work for an organisation that you think might like to sponsor the event or provide items for the ‘Welcome Packs’, please do get in contact directly with Mrs Debbie Storey, Housemistress of Holmes.
