L4 Inter-House Swimming Gala

Tuesday 16th June 2015

The L4 year group enjoyed a very exciting swimming gala on Monday 15 June in the school swimming pool.  The atmosphere was electric as the girls swam their hearts out for their friends, peers and Houses.

Mr Blunt, Head of Swimming commented,

“Every single girl who swam in the gala was a real star and you could feel the support that the Queen Anne’s girls were giving one another regardless at to whether they finished in first, second, third, fourth or in fifth place.  It was all about gaining those vital points for the House and overall the competition was brilliant!!”

Individual highlights in the pool included Olivia Mowat’s (Wilkins) great swim in the 25m Freestyle, Amy McCall’s (Wisdome) impressive display of endurance in the 100m Freestyle and the outstanding all round performance of Isabelle Gibbs (Wilkins).

Wilkins House consistent performance throughout the whole gala eventually led them to victory but not before having to fight off a late charge from the highly motivated Wisdome girls.

Mr Blunt would like to say a big thank you to all the senior girls who helped act as time keepers and record keepers and helped make the gala run so smoothly.

Final Placings

  • 1st Place – Wilkins House
  • 2nd Place – Wisdome House
  • 3rd Place – Webbe House
  • 4th Place – Ffyler House
  • 5th Place – Maddock House
