Dancing Success for Hannah

Monday 24th November 2014

During the October half-term holiday, Hannah Stronach, 4s, danced at the Hounslow Festival, a qualifying dance competition for the All England Dance Association Finals in 2015.

Hannah and her dance partner were awarded 2nd place Silver for their Chinese dance in the classical duet section for 13 to 15 year olds, achieving the qualifying mark to progress to the All England Regional Final to be held in Kent next May.  This dance previously achieved 1st place Gold at the British Arts Awards Finals, a national competition, in London’s Polish Theatre in May 2014.

Hannah was awarded 3rd place for her Greek solo national dance. She also performed in the Festival with two successful large group dances, a Chinese dance and a Ukranian dance, which were placed 1st and 2nd with very high marks and have qualified for the All England Regional Final in Kent next year.

Hannah is now about to take her Silver Jazz examination with Miss Powell and is also studying  RAD Grade 7 ballet externally with Allenova School of Dance, having attained a distinction in her Grade 6 RAD ballet in the summer. Hannah has just passed her RAD Intermediate Foundation Ballet vocational qualification (the first step to a teaching qualification) and is working on Grade 5 Tap and Grade 5 and 6 Modern as well as Latin and ballroom.

Congratulations to Hannah on some fantastic dancing achievements.
