Charity Christmas Fayre Raises £1,000
Tuesday 15th December 2015
On Saturday 5 December, pupils, parents, staff and members of the public visited the Queen Anne’s Charity Christmas Fayre Extravaganza, helping to raise over £1,000 for the school’s charity, the Kasiisi Porridge Project.
This year’s fayre was bigger and better than ever and featured a fantastic array of stall holders, a Christmas bouncy castle, face painting, games, refreshments and the all important visit to see Father Christmas in his grotto. Whilst festive music played throughout the Sports Hall, visitors to the fayre had the opportunity to browse stalls, including our ‘Tycoon in Schools’ companies who were coming to the end of their trading period, whilst enjoying some mulled wine and a mince pie or two!
All proceeds from the Christmas Fayre will be going to the Kasiisi Porridge Project, western Uganda, a worthwhile charity that funds a daily mug of maize flour porridge for 1500 primary schoolchildren in rural Western Uganda whose families can only afford one meal a day. www.kasiisiporridge.org
Thank you to everyone for your support and Merry Christmas!
