A Colourful Start To The Trinity Term
Tuesday 26th April 2016
On Saturday 16 April, Queen Anne’s held their first-ever Colour Run to kick-off the start of the Trinity Term. The event was attended by boarders, and their families and friends, as part of the Closed Weekend activities.
After a morning of rain, the sun came out at 2.00pm, just in time for an upbeat and entertaining warm-up session led by Miss Rutherford and Mr Blunt in his pink tutu. Ms Chodak then started the run with a fire extinguisher cloud of orange paint and the runners made their way around the course passing the various colour stations where they were dowsed in a rainbow of colours by the boarding staff and parents. Congratulations to Olivia Mowat and her family who were one of the first over the line.
After three laps of the field, the group congregated for a colour fight finale and everyone ended the event suitable coloured. It was a fantastic event in which the girls had lots of fun and we also raised over £144 for our school charities, the Kasiisi Porridge Project and the National Animal Welfare Trust.
