Music And The Brain Lecture

On Thursday 4 December, Reading School are holding a ‘Music and the Brain’ Lecture at 4pm at the school.
The lecture will look at how music affects the brain and will feature an OR psychologist Paul Mossman and concert pianist Olga Bobrovnikoca and is open to students in the L6 and U6. Paul and Olga will use the works of Tchaikovsky, Mozart and Chopin to explain the link between music and the hippocampus that help us recall memories and feelings. They will also explore how individual sounds, tone and pitch affect our response to a piece of music and how this response could have therapeutic applications.
