As our Queen Anne’s girls’ academic career progresses towards GCSE years, the quality of education continues in the same happy, supportive, stimulating and well-disciplined environment to enable the girls to acheive their full potential.
Mr Mark Bushby, Head of Middle Years, is responsible for the academic well-being and strategic development of the Middle Years at Queen Anne’s. This includes:
- Lower Five (L5 or Year 10)
- Upper Five (U5 or Year 11)
The Middle Years are the first step towards becoming part of the Sixth Form and going on to university. The increased workload of GCSE study keeps our students busy, but it is also an exciting and stimulating time, and they still have time to take part in music, drama, sport, public speaking and other enjoyable activities.
To assist with managing coursework, the school organises a Study Skills Day, which teaches simple but effective strategies that our girls will be able to apply to almost every area of their studies.
