Morning Cover Assistant

Term Time

Start Date: January 2019

The Role

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Morning Cover Assistant to work from 8am until 1.30pm, Monday to Friday on a term time basis, to undertake various duties relating to the supervision of pupils during the school day.

The main duties are:
• Cover supervision
• Prep supervision
• Lunch duty
• Invigilation for examinations and internal assessments

The successful candidate will:

• be good team member who can work on their own initiative
• have the ability to be a quick thinker and be able to respond swiftly
• have excellent communication skills
• be interested in being part of the school community.

Deputy Housemistress (maternity cover)

Residential

Required for April 2019

The Role

A Deputy Housemistress is sought to provide support to the Housemistress in a senior boarding house. The successful candidate will be fully committed to the aims and ideals of boarding school life and demonstrate the ability to deliver excellent levels of pastoral care.

This is a residential position and therefore accommodation is provided,

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience within a boarding school community or similar environment.
  • Have a real interest in the development and support that pastoral care offers.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, determination and excellent communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a responsible and pro-active attitude.

Flexibility, resilience and commitment to a residential boarding post are essential requirements.

School Cleaner

Part Time

Required for January 2019

The Role

To support and assist the Facilities Manager to maintain a safe and clean environment.

To clean the areas assigned, which may include:

  • Vacuuming the corridors and rooms, emptying waste bins. Cleaning glass and mirrors. Dusting. Cleaning bathrooms and toilets.
  • To report anything in need of repair or replacement.
  • To keep your cleaning area clean and tidy and ensure materials are stored safely.
  • Be aware of the required care standards and regulations governing the role.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have relevant cleaning experience.
  • Ability to operate relevant machinery.
  • Understand and carry out both written and oral instructions.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
  • Flexibility to work in a team or stand alone.
  • Be prepared to take part in essential training to include First Aid, COSHH, Child Protection.

Examination Invigilators

We are always interested to hear from applicants who are interested in joining our exam invigilation team for during examination periods. The invigilation team oversee the examination hall and provide access arrangements such as scribes and readers for pupils who require additional help and support.

Training is provided and so no previous experience is necessary.
