A comprehensive programme prepares girls for making their University applications, starting with the Sixth Form fair at the beginning of the Upper Five year (Year Eleven), which ensures that girls are making the correct A level choices; and including a special Higher Education preparation day in the spring term of the lower sixth.

Girls are encouraged to attend at least three University open days, while extensive advice is given in PHSE lessons for filling out the UCAS application form and writing the all-important personal statement.

Additional assistance is provided for those girls thinking of applying for Oxford and Cambridge universities, and for students who intend to become doctors, dentists and veterinary surgeons, with special reference to interview technique.
