Sixth form houses
Queen Anne's has two sixth form houses:
- Lower sixth - Holmes
- Upper sixth - Michell
Each househasa resident housemistress and assisting staff who take care of the students and are responsible for their welfare. In the sixth form, boarding and day students occupy the house together, which allows the girls to continue existing friendships whilst widening their social circle. Day girls also have the opportunity to flexi-board, whereby they can choose to board occasionally during the week; this is particularly popular in the run-up to exams.
The housesare very well equipped, with large sitting rooms, a kitchen and a dining room. Each student is allocateda dedicated study area, which includes wireless internet access.
Holmes House is situated in the heart of the campus, close to the main buildings and the main library, and Michell - a lovely Victorian house - is set apart from the lower schoolin its own beautiful landscaped grounds. Parking is available at both houses.
