The day began with a presentation by UCAS, which gives a comprehensive overview of the university admissions process, including factors for making successful applications and practical tips about completed UCAS applications forms.
This was followed by circus sessions covering finance, student life and personal statements, interview techniques and a ‘Push Tour' presentation, which looks at the funny side of applying to university.
Camilla Cormack, a lower sixth student who attended the event, said: ‘I found the day very informative and useful. I now know much more about the whole process of applying to university especially the UCAS process.
‘The ‘Push Tour' presentation also included information about the importance of choosing the right university for each person, as no two universities will give you the same experience.
‘The session about interviews was particularly amusing as two teachers, Mr Owen and Mrs Hough-Robbins, did a role play demonstrating ‘how to' and ‘how not to' carry out an interview'.
