Remembrance Day

Queen Anne's Remembrance Service, Yesterday and Today, for the whole school was held in the Chapel this morning, with two minutes silence at 11am followed by The Last Post, played by Jemima Pennant.

The service was led by Reverend Hilary Benson and Colonel Iain Smailes gave a moving account of the origins of the British Legion's poppy appeal and the qualities required of a soldier.

Hymns included God, as with silent hearts, If the war goes on and For the healing of the nations. The choir sang So they gave their bodies by Peter Aston.
