Queen Anne's U15 and U13 Berkshire tennis teams have received the Living and Learning Achievement Award for their performances in the Aegon Team Tennis Schools Competition. The U15 team, Tara Lumley, Abigail Flower, Florence Ingall and Ailsa MacLean, beat Marlborough College 6–0 to win the first round of the U15 Regional Knockout. The U13 team, Alex Crowther, Jess De Mulder. Alicia Laing and Holly Regan, beat Downe House in the County Final and St Mary's, Calne 6-0 in the first round of the U13 Regional Knockout.
The Living and Learning Achievement Award is sponsored by Kiren Sharma, Director of Gravity Personnel, Reading. The winner of the award is selected from news stories featured in Reading Post. Gravity Personnel, who sponsors the newspaper's Living and Learning supplement, is a specialist recruitment agency for engineering professionals and the UK Rail industry.
Wendy Reynolds, Head of PE, said: ‘We are really thrilled to receive this award. The girls deserve many congratulations for the hard work they put into their training. They were competing against tough opposition and both teams' winning scores of six love in their respective age groups were a fantastic achievement and show great potential for the future'.
