QAS athletes run away with trophies
Athletes from Queen Anne's ran away with the lead in the Foundation Schools' Athletics Championship in Battersea on Thursday 27 May.
Queen Anne's competed against secondary schools from the Grey Coat Hospital Foundation and United Westminster Schools.
Both Junior and Intermediate teams from Queen Anne's won their respective competitions and with a combined total of 685 points were overall winners of the championships.
Individual successes for Queen Anne's included Zoe Webb, who was crowned Junior Individual winner with the highest point score for her two events, 200m and high jump, and Katie Belcher, who was Intermediate Individual winner with the highest point score for her two events, 800m and javelin. Katie also won this title last year in the junior section. Sophie McAlpine set a new Foundation record in the 100m with a time of 13.45.
