Lower six ball

The annual lower sixth ball took place on Saturday with invited guests from The Oratory School and Shiplake College, who joined the girls for a 'Strictly' style ballroom dancing competition.

Pupils from Queen Anne's, The Oratory and Shiplake College get together every Friday evening for Queen Anne's hugely popular 
ballroom dancing classes.

42 couples took part in the dance competition.  The winners were: Cathryn Kendall and Olie Vizard, Waltz; Karis Blumson and David Hawes, Social Foxtrot; Louise Gillman-Wells and Sean Frost, Cha Cha Cha and Sasha Novikova and Ben Henderson, Jive.

Sharon Vickers,dance teacher and judge, said: 'The standard of dancing this year was the highest ever.' 

Head of the lower sixth house Hannah Bisbas, who was also dancing in the competition, said: 'It was a fantastic evening.  Everyone had a wonderful time and we will remember it for years to come.'
