Boys vs girls for leavers' lax match

Queen Anne's upper sixth were joined by upper sixth boys from The Oratory School for a special lacrosse ‘leavers' match.  Some of the players adorned 'fancy' dress - and a few brought their dressing gowns!  There was no sign of sleepiness on the the pitch, however. Play was hard-paced and brought out considerable determination in the boys - and quite a few of the girls.  Sadly for the hosts the OS boys just beat QAS 3:2.

Clive Dytor, Headmaster of The Oratory School, who was among the spectators, said ‘The OS boys were initially intimidated by the girls' superior stick-work, but gradually their superior physicality won through. Overall, it was a very good-natured match with shrieks and roars from either side'.

After the match, both teams joined forces to enjoy a BBQ supper at Michell House.
