A taste of drama

An A Level Theatre Studies student from Queen Anne's has been accepted onto a two-week acting course this summer at the prestigious London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA).

16 year old Jessica Webber was chosen, and will join 40 other successful candidates from around the country. The course is designed to give young people who are interested in pursuing an acting career a taste of what it's like at Drama School.

In preparation for the course, Jessica will be required to choose and learn four speeches to perform to the LAMDA staff and other students.  The course will culminate with a performance of all the students' work over the two weeks.

Jessica said: 'I am really looking forward to the course and to meeting other people who are interested in going into the theatre profession'.
