Alumni

Generations of girls have attended Queen Anne's and gone on to be successful professionals and active citizens. Since it was founded in Ascension Day in 1894, the spirit of the school has continued to thrive and former students, parents, staff and current students combine to make Queen Anne's a strong community.

Queen Anne's Society (formerly known as Old Girls' Society)
Each year, QAS hosts a special event to enable members to gather together and enjoy a day of entertainment, good food and friendship. The Society also produces an annual newsletter which keeps our girls up to date with members' news from all over the world.

Reunion Day 2010
Despite the less than friendly weather, over 130 QA Society Girls were welcomed back to school to reunite with old friends and current and former staff.  As is now tradition, they enjoyed guided tours of the school, the opportunity of purchasing a framed group photograph and many a chance for reacquainting chats with old chums.

This year a special interactive Chapel Service, featuring performances from various alumni, was one of the highlights of the day.  The AGM in the Upper Library was well attended and this was followed by the popular buffet lunch in the Forum.

We were particularly pleased to host a large group of 1960 leavers who were celebrating their 50th reunion.  Approximately 45 Old Girls enjoyed a special dinner, which was held in the marquee on the front lawn in the evening.  Alumni Relations had compiled and printed a book of all their biographies and memories of Queen Anne's.  Everyone was delighted to receive a copy.

Queen Anne's Recipe Book
We would like to publish a QAS Recipe Book featuring the favourite recipes of many of our Old Girls. Whether it's your own creation, an old favourite that 'works every time', a traditional family recipe handed down through the generations, or you've simply tweaked the recipe of a master chef, we want to hear from you!
Proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the General Fund as well as a percentage to a nominated Charity.
The book is in the early planning stages but we need your help right now and ask you to submit your recipes – you can send us more than one. It would also be useful if you could include a photo of both yourself and the dish/dishes.
Entries to be submitted to Lauren Troake, Alumni Relations.
